PLATE TECTONICS IS A SCIENTIFIC THEORY THAT DESCRIBES THE EARTH'S LITHOSPHERE (LAND) COMPOSITION. IT STATES THAT THE EARTH'S CRUST IS MADE UP OF SEVEN MAJOR AND SOME MINOR PLATES.
