Explain the theory of relativity.

SoLuTiOn -

The Theory Of Relativity refers to Einstein's Second Postulate which is also called the Principle Of Relativity.

It States :

  • The Laws Of Physics Are Same In Every frame of reference.

There are several examples discovered till now, some of which prove the above theory and some don't .

For example -

Suppose if you watch two children playing with a ball while you and the two children are aboard on a train, moving with a velocity which is constant.

The observations from the movement of the ball can't help to detect the speed of the train.

This is because the Newton's Laws of motion are same in every innertial frame .

The speed of electromagnetic radiation is equal i.e, is Maxwell's Equations are true in all mediums.

THis states the validity of the Principle Of Relativity.

The theory of relativity usually encompasses two interrelated theories by Albert Einstein: special relativity and general relativity. Special relativity applies to all physical phenomena in the absence of gravity. General relativity explains the law of gravitation and its relation to other forces of nature
