Thermodynamics: is the branch of physics which deals with the study of transformation of heat into other forms of energy and vice-versa while the thermodynamical system is the name given to an assembly of extremely large number of particles.

Thermodynamic equilibrium:a thermodynamical system is said to be Thermodynamic equilibrium when macroscopic variables like pressure, temperature, volume etc that characterise the whole system don't change with time.
