Your answer :

A volcano is an opening in the crust of a planet from which lava flows. The lava flows in the form of lava or ash stones, pieces of rocks and other hot material.

There are three types of volcanoes :

1. Active volcanoes: Volcanoes which has erupted recently and can erupt in the future again. Example : Baron island in India.

2. Dormant or sleeping volcanoes : Volcanoes which aren't active, which have not erupted for a long time but may erupt in the near future. Example : Visuvious in Italy.

3. Dead or Extinct : Volcanoes which are no longer going to occur. Example: Kilmanjaro in Africa.
