aerobic respiration :-

  • takes place in presence of oxygen
  • complete breakdown of food occurs
  • end products are CO2 AND H2O

anaerobic respiration ( humans):-

  • in absence of oxygen, in our muscles, pyruvate is converted into lactic acid
