Between any two masses consisting of matter, there exists a gravitational force of attraction proportional to their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance.

Formula of gravitational force is F= GmM / r2

Where, G = gravitational constant

Example is the force of attraction between Sun and Earth and between Earth and Moon. Due to this force, Earth revolves around the Sun and Moon revolves around Earth.
