Explain the traditional as well as the modern concept of education

Traditional education is defined as teacher-centered delivery of instruction to classes of students who are the receivers of information Traditional schools generally stress basic  educational practices and expect mastery of academic learning in the core subjects of math, reading, writing, science and social studies.
According to John Dewey Education is a process of living through, a continuous reconstruction of experiences. So the definition of modern education can be said as "the act or process of imparting the knowledge about our present world and society.

Traditional Education: in traditional education all students are lumped together under one instructor, the basic subject reads, write, arithmetic.
individuality is not promoted. there was a certain passing number upon entrance exams to determine if students are 'normal'. different learning styles, social disorders and mental illnesses were not what the bord of education considered appropriate behaviour. this is probably where bullying others that are different originated.





Modern Education: modern education consist of choices, online, independent, education intervention. social groups are diverse, students can be cool nerd, jocks can be on the honor roll, people from two different styles walks of life can found common ground and become friends. college is an option for students willing to work hard for scholarship, there are choices. proms kings and Queens are not the most important topic.
