Traditional farming method is a method in which organic and old processes of farming are practiced. In this method the manure is prepared by vegetable waste and other bio-degradable wastes. This methods are mostly practiced in remote places but, people choose in-organic methods of farming like fertilisers and pesticides for good yield . Few traditional farming methods are:-

Alternate  farming

mixed cropping

crop rotation

strip (or) intercropping

mulching

Importance of traditional farming

1) Different crops can be harvested at different times, as maturity periods of crops vary.

2) provides fuel, fodder, ritual and other cultural needs of the community.

5) they maintain soil fertility.
