tropic movement refers to that how plant respones to their stimulli.

diffrent types to tropic movements are-

1) phototropism -

it refers to the movement of plant in response to light. ex- sunflower its flower is in the direction of sun.

2) geo tropism-

it refers to the movement of plants towards the soil. ex- root grows towards the soil.

3) hydrotropism- it refers to the movement of plants towards the water

ex- plants root growing in humid air bending toward a high relative humidity level. it is seen in tomatos roots and radish roots and even in carrots roots.

4) chemotropism- it refers to the movemnt of plants in response to chemical stimulli.

ex - growth of pollen tube towards ovule.

5) Thigmotropism- it refers to the movement in plants in response to touch.

ex- tebdrils of cucurbit, bottle gourd

Nastic movements refers to the reversible and repeatble movement in response to a stimulus whose direction is determined by anatomy of plant.
