It's easy to be motivated at the beginning. Consistent self-discipline will keep you going in the middle regardless of how you're feeling, because it's worth the sacrifice.
Preparation will give you a clearer idea of what the market looks like for your product/service, plus what growing your idea AND growing a business actually entails. It will allow you to adapt when challenges arise, to be self-aware of your strengths and weaknesses in case you need business/personal support. You don't have to wait for perfect conditions to start (no such thing) but you have to walk into a situation with as much information as possible, so you can make informed decisions.
