The types of soil erosion most prominent in india include sheet erosion and gully erosion.
There are many hilly regions in northern india (himalayas) and also in deccan plateau. Whenever a heavy downpour is there the top soil gets removed in layers and sheets forming gully and ravines.
Another most common type of erosion is landslides common in uttatarkhand, himachal pradesh, jammu and kashmir, etc
In rajasthan desertification and wind erosion is common.
