oxidation reaction . When oxygen takes place.
reduction reaction. When hydrogen takes place.
If hydrogen takes place it is reduction if not then it is oxidation.
if both takes place simultaneously then it is redox reaction.

Oxidation no. means x raise to +2 ----> x raise to +4 or any else
then it is oxidation
when it reduces then it is reduction.
