In Maths, there are three major types of fractions. They are proper fractions, improper fractions and mixed fractions. Fractions are those terms which have numerator and denominator.
Proper fraction ➡ Numerator is less than denominator. ex:- 2/3 , 14/19
Improper fraction ➡ Numerator is more than denominator. ex:- 4/3 , 65/12
Mixed fraction ➡ it is the process of depicting improper fraction as a combination of whole numbers and proper fraction. ex:- 3 1/3 = 10/3.
Here, 3 is the whole number and 1/3 is the proper fraction.
