First of all
Plastid is a cell organelle which only exists in plant cell and not in any other kinda cell.
Plastids are differentiated in 3 main types :-
Chloroplasts - it is double membrane and it gives the green pigmentation to plants due to which the colour of the leaves are green. And the green pigment it gives is called the chlorophyll which helps in making of food through photosynthesis.
Chromoplast- it gives other colours to the plant except green. The flowers, petals are in different colour due to the presence of chromoplast. It attracts the insect for pollination.
Leucoplast - its a colourless plastid or pigment we can say. For example - oil seeds.
