1) Grana : It is a stack of membrane bounded,flattened discoid sac containing the molecules of chlorophyll in it.
2) Stroma :Homogeneous matrix in which grana are embedded. They contain photosynthetic enzymes,DNA, ribosomes in them..

There are 3 types of plastids:
1)Chromoplast:
It gives color to the fruits or vegetables like red color of tomato comes from chromoplast.
2)Leucoplast:
IT only stores the food made by the plant.
3)Chloroplast:
It gives the green color to the leaves. And also helps in capturing sunlight and also in making chlorophyll.
