Explain the types of sentences. Examples please!

There are four types of sentences :

Assertive , imperative , interrogative and exclamatory sentences.

Assertive Sentences : These sentences are statement sentence.(usually express statements)

Example : I went to school

I love using brainly.

Imperative sentence : These sentences carry order / command, request .

example : please close the door.
Do not smoke here.

Interrogative sentences : These are of question type contain wh/ hw or yes/ No questions. Usually end with -?.

example - who are you?
Did you attend the meeting?
How are you?

Exclamatory sentences : express our feelings.

ex : Alas ! he is dead ( express sorrow)

Hurray ! I won the match ( express joy)
