explain the types of stress
Answers
Answer:
According to American Psychological Association (APA), there are 3 different types stress — acute stress, episodic acute stress, and chronic stress. ... Stress management can be complicated because each of the 3 different types of stress can present as single, repeated, complicated, or chronic.
★ STRESS:-
The internal restoring force acting per unit area of a deformed body is called stress.
Stress = Restoring force/Area of cross-section
★ THE TYPE OF STRESS:-
There are 3 types of stress:-
→ Longitudinal stress
→ Tangential stress
→ Hydraulic stress
• Longitudinal stress:- When the force is applied perpendicular to the area of cross section so as to change the length, the stress is called longitudinal stress or normal stress.
• Tangential stress:- When the force is applied tangential to the surface so as to change the shape so as to change the length, the stress is called longitudinal stress or normal stress.
• Hydraulic stress: When the force is applied perpendicular to the surface so as to change the volume, the stress is called hydraulic stress or bulk stress.
