Answer:

Microsoft PowerPoint has three main views: normal view, slide sorter view, notes page, slide show view.

Explanation:

Normal - Displays your slides one at a time for easy editing.

Slide Sorter - Displays slide thumbnails for all the slides in the presentation.

Slide Show - Displays your slides one slide at a time filling the whole screen.

Notes Page - Displays your slides one at a time with space for you to add additional notes.his is the default view and opens automatically when PowerPoint is started.

Normal view:

This view allows you to see several aspects of the presentation simultaneously and is often referred to as the tri-pane view.

The large pane in the middle is the slide editing pane. This allows you to add your content and to make the necessary formatting changes.

In this view you can edit your slides one at a time

This lets you easily change the layout of the slide as well as letting you add text, graphics, clip art etc.

This view lets you work with a combination of features simultaneously including editing the slide , outline/slides and the Notes pane

The pane on the left hand slide is called the Outline/Slides pane.

The Notes pane is displayed at the bottom and the main pain is called the Slide Pane.

Slide Sorter View :

This allows you to easily rearrange your slides by dragging the slide thumbnails.

Displays your slides as small thumbnails displaying the slide numbers underneath

Extremely useful when you want to rearrange the order of the slides by displaying the whole presentation.

It also indicates any slide transitions, text animations and displays their times.

There is a dedicated Slide Sorter toolbar which is displayed when this view is displayed.

Slide Show View :

Displays the slides as an on-screen presentation taking up the full screen.

This runs your presentation from the active slide (no it's the first slide !!!!)

Each slide fills the screen.

This view displays any slide transitions and timings Pressing ESC(escape) will cancel the slide show.

Notes Page View :

Displays the slide at the top of the page and a text box at the bottom that can be used for additional notes.

This displays your slide in the top part of the window and displays any notes in the bottom part.

While the notes for each slide are available in the Normal view, this view displays the notes as they will be printed.

This is useful for correlating your notes with particular slides.

These notes can be useful during a presentation and do not appear during a slide show.

Things to Remember :

1. The Normal View of often referred to as the tri-pane because it displays   three panes at the same time. The tri-pane view was added in PowerPoint   2000.

2. It is possible to use the shortcut key (F6) to move clockwise between the panes and (Shift + F6) to move anti-clockwise.

3. You can also use the shortcut key (Ctrl + Shift + F6) to switch between the Slides and Outline tabs.

4. PowerPoint 2000 introduced the tri-pane which combines the Slide, Outline and Notes Page views.

5. The Slide miniature is now available in Outline View and in Slide Master View. (View > Slide Miniature) ??

6. Each view is appropriate for a different task.
