Answer:

While you rehearse, use the Slide Timing feature to record the time that you need to present each slide, and then use the recorded times to advance the slides automatically when you give your presentation to your actual audience. The Slide Timing feature is ideal for creating a self-running presentation.

Answer:

When you want to record a running time for each slide, use the Rehearse Timings feature. This enables you to run through your presentation in Slide Show view and record the time each slide takes. Then, use the timings to run the show automatically, either to help you rehearse, or for a self-running show.

Explanation:

How to Rehearse Timings of Slide Show in Presentation

Rehearse timing can control the time of the presentation accurately. The amount of time you spend on each slide is recorded and you can save those timing to run the show automatically in the future.

Step 1. Click Rehearse Timings icon in the Slide Show tab to rehearse the show.

Step 2. Start a full-screen slide show and a Rehearsal toolbar will appear on the top left. The time in the middle of the toolbar represents the timing for the current slide and the time on the right represents the timing for the entire presentation, shown as below:

1. Click the Next button to complete the rehearsal time for the current slide and to begin the timing for the next slide. You can also apply the feature by clicking the slide.

2. Click the Pause button to pause the timing of the current slide.

3. Click the Repeat button to reset the current slide timings.

Step 3. When the slide show is over, the system will prompt you on whether to keep the rehearsal timing or not. Click Yes button to set the slides to switch at the rehearsed times.
