Here are few of them:-

1) In food:- Salts can be used in food to add taste to it (NaCl)

2) In pickels:- Salts can be used in pickels to conserve them and protect them from bacteria. The presence of salt increases the tonicity of pickels this draws water out of the bacterias causing their death.

3) In laboratories: Salts find a wide use in labs. Salts like NaCl and NaNO³ are used in production of acids like HCl and HNO³.

4) In cooking: The addition of salts in waters increases its billing point thus allowing water to impart large amount of heat energy to food before boiling.

5) In fertilizers: Salts are used in fertilizers like ammonium nitrate, ammonium phosphate and potassium chloride.

Hope it helps ^_^
