There are 4 types of power sharing

  • Horizontal power sharing - in this process the power is shared between executive ,legislature ,judiciary .in which legislature make the law ,executive implement the law ,judiciary checks the works of legislation and executive .this is also called check and balance system .
  • Vertical power sharing - In this power is shared among central govt ,state govt ,panchayati raj or local govt .this is called federal form of govt .
  • Power is shared between different political party ,minorty forms party ,religion party .
  • Community govt like in Belgium where for every community there is community govt .
