With the growing demand of producing more than one's needs surpluses increased as a result of which there made a specific place where the exchange process can take place which paved the way for commerce.
People started settling at particular places owing private land for sowing seeds or other applications where they grow things that would support families' needs.
Soon it became a part of the exchange system satisfying need of village people by themselves. This led to the development of a self-reliant village economy out of which emerged a group of people named traders.
Revolution in industries followed by transportation and communication led to the final flourish of trade and commerce.
