★There are mainly five types of keys on a keyboard :
❶) Typing Keys - These keys letters (Alphabet keys), numbers (Number keys), punctuation(. , : ; ' "), and special symbols (+ - £ keys etc.) These keys also include the Shift, Caps Lock, Spacebar, Backspace, and the tab keys.
❷) Control Keys - These keys are either used alone or in combination with other keys to perform an action. These keys include Ctrl, Alt, Windows logo key, and the Esc key.
❸) Navigation Keys - These are used for moving through the documents or web pages and sometimes for editing in the text. These keys include Arrow key, HOME END, Pg Up, PgDn, Insert and Delete keys.
❹) Function Keys - They are used to perform specific tasks. They are placed on top row of the keyboard and a labelled as F1 to F12.
❺) Numeric Keys - The numeric keypad consists of number keys from 0 to 9, the Arithmetic operators and the decimal point.
