The Aryan society was well organized and divided into four classes on the basis of occupation.
1. The Brahmins occupied the highest position in society. They were the learned class.
2. The Kshatriyas occupied the second position in society . They were warriors.
3. The Vaishyas occupied the third position in society. They were traders.
