Vegetative propagation is a form of asexual reproduction of a plant. Only one plant is involvedand the offspring is the result of one parent. The new plant is genetically identical to the parent.
also new plant develop from the fragment or any special reproductive structure are called vegetative propagation.
ex runner buds and bryophyllum leaves.

A mode of reproduction in which part like stem, root, leaves develop into new plant under favourable condition. It has following benefits.
1.Growing orange, rose has lost the capacity to produce seed.
2.Genetically it is maintained in the plants like sugarcane, rose by grafting.
