Artistic vision is when a person imagines something they’d like to hear, see, wear, taste, smell, etc. but do not currently see an example that matches their imaginings. They are then compelled to figure out how to realize those imagining in a form where it can be shared with others.
This is different than copying in that a person copying the vision of another is a fan who simply hopes to get closer to that work or artist by “wearing their clothes” for a moment in time.
