explain the way how plants get water by osmosis through root hair

The water moves into the root hair cells because there is a higher water concentration outside in the soil. There is a difference in water potential in each root hair cell so it moves by osmosis into the other cells. 

The water then passes from the root cells to reach the xylem vessel + stem + finally into the leaves 

OSMOSIS: the movement of water from an area of high water concentration to an area of low concentration across a partially permeable membrane.
