● Anaerobic respiration -
- In anaerobic respiration, glucose is broken down into lactic acid and ATPs.
Glucose --> Lactate + ATP
- It releases only 2 ATP molecules per glucose.
- Site of anaerobic respn is cytoplasm.
- Electron transfer chain plays essential role in this.
