explain the ways in which glucose is broken down in absence of oxygen


chinay: glucose is broken down into pyruvate in the presence of oxygen it makes co²& h²o &energy; in the lack of oxygen it makes lactic acid & energy; in absence of oxygen it makes ethanol & co²& energy

glucose is broken down in our muscles in the lack of oxygen and produces lactic acid and energy(3-carbon molecule).In yeast glucose is broken down and releases ethanol , carbon dioxide and energy in he absence of oxygen(2-carbon molecule)
