Explain the ways in which glucose is broken down in absence of oxygen

Actually the glucose is broken in absence of oxygen is called anaerobic respiration....which is caused in the human muscles due to absence of oxygen.....
the cramps in human muscles are occured due to this type of respiration....
the by products of this respiration are lactic acid and alcohol.....
