Explanation:

Respiration involves taking in oxygen and release of carbon dioxide by the process of breathing. The taken oxygen is the utilised to oxidise chemical energy stored in the food to released energy in the form of ATP along with carbon dioxide and water. Respiration involves exchange of gases i.e. oxygen with carbon dioxide. Respiration in human beings takes place through a special system called as respiratory system.This involves nostrils, nasal cavity, larynx, bronchi, bronchioles ending in alveoli.
