Answer : The full form of SONAR is SOund Navigation and Ranging. The SONAR method is also called echo ranging. It is a device that utilizes ultrasonic waves to estimate and measure the distance, direction and speed of objects underwater.

Explanation  :   Sonar is defined as a technique which is use to navigate or or detect communicate with the objects present under water surface such as oceans by using sound propagation. Two uses of Sonar technique are as as following: It is use to locate underwater hazards to navigation and to develop nautical charts
