Explain the working of a full wave rectifier
Answers
sorry but i cant send u diagram so i give u full explanation
let me know in comment if u have any doubt after reading solution
so basically a full wave rectifier contains 2 diodes lets say d1 and d2
and most importantly u use a ac source that means the polarity of the diodes will be varying after equal intervals of time
so what actually happens is that the diodes are connected such that one of the diodes get forward biased say d1 and the other one gets reversed biased d2
so d1 conducts electricity and d2 dosent since u know reverse biasing offers very high resistance
so now when the polarity changes due to ac source d2 will get forward biased and conduct electricity while d1 being reversed biased wont conduct electricity due to high resistance offered by reverse biasing
