The compound microscope consist of two convex lenses namely objective lense and eyepiece.

  • The focal length of is larger and Also have a bigger cross section whereas the focal length of objective lense is smaller and also havea smaller cross section.

Higher magnification can be obtained by combine effect of these two lenses.
