The dendrites of the sensory neuron qre in touch of receptor organs.When a receptor organ face any stimulus then the message is taken as a chemical signal by the dendrites.This message gets converted into electrical impulse and reaches to the nerve ending. Their is a junction -a microscopic gap between two nerve cells that joins the nerve cells.
This gap has a neurotransmitter which changes the electrical impulses again into chemical message and the dendrites of the next neuron receive it and the process continues.
