The working of the Parliament

Explanation:

  • The parliament is the highest authority of making laws in the country. The parliament has two houses the Lok sabha and the Rajya sabha. The Lok sabha is also known as the lower chamber and the Rajya sabha as the upper chamber. However the Lok sabha is more powerful as it is elected directly unlike the Rajya sabha . The Rajya sabha usually looks into the matter of the states.
  • The parliament makes laws for the country, controls the existing government , and also money matters. Whenever a bill is introduced it needs to be passed by the two houses in order to make a law. Whenever there is a disagreement between the two houses it can be resolved by holding a joint session of the two houses, here however the Lok sabha is more powerful because of its larger number of members. Also the Lok sabha can remove a government, if the Lok sabha says that they have no confidence in the pm and his ministers he has to resign along with his ministers.
