Working principle of computer

Computer is divided into three basic units for operation as explained below

Input unit

• Input units are used to enter data into the computer system for processing.

• Input units include a keyboard, mouse etc.

Processing unit

• Processing units process the data that came from the input units. Because computers can't read English or any other language, they only understand binary language e.g. the language of 0's and 1's.

• CPU is the central processing unit. It executes commands.

Output unit

• After processing certain commands, the computer returns the data in a readable format for the user with the help of output devices e.g. monitor, printer, etc.
