Thelytoky is a kind of parthenogenesis where production of females takes place from the unfertilised eggs. It occurs through many and different mechanisms.

Arrhenotoky is kind of parthenogenesis where production of males takes place from unfertilised also known as arrhenotokous parthenogenesis, is a form of parthenogenesis in which unfertilized eggs develop into males.
