Weak electrolytes are those compoinds whose molecules does not dissociate 100% in water (charge appear only on few molecules / few molecules split)

or in which each molecule dissociate partially (i.e. 1 or 2 atoms are detached from the bulky molecule in the form of ions while on the other side there is alot of atoms still attached).

THUS as we know the current flow through an electrolyte is directly proportional to amount of ions

HENCE ions are available to carry current and so less current would flow.

EXAMPLES given are .:

CH3COOH ----> CH3COO- + H+

NH4OH ----> NH4+ + OH- (not all the molecules do this)
