★ Diya is a light clay oil lamps which symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.

★ Diya is also called as Deepak, Oil lamp, Burning lamp etc. Diyas are considered as a source of light that removes darkness. There are also considered as symbol of knowledge. And as if you studied about the mythological belief, then the diyas removes poverty.
