The above equation states that 2 molecules of acidulated water (acidulated water means water which has sulphuric acid ) when electricity passes through it gets dissociate into two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of water .this is an example of electrolysis of water where electricity is made to pass through water and dissociate water into hydrogen and oxygen in ratio 2:1 states hydrogen proportion is greater than if oxygen
