In the text it is told about the kalinga war. When ashoka has won almost all the parts of India some parts were not occupied by him and kalinga was one of them. When Ashoka went with his army to kalinga. and fought he saw that because of him so many people are losing their life. This war changed him totally and from then he stop to fight any war and he become a monk and he stop doing any violence.
