The time duration is to be calculated from 18:50 hr  to  06:40 hr the next day.

     From 18:50 hrs  to 19:00 hrs  there are 10 minutes.  It is easy.
     From 19:00 hrs to  midnight 24:00 hrs:  there are  5 hours. it is easy.
 
    24:00 hrs and  0:00 hrs are same.

    From 0:00 hrs to 06:40 hrs in the morning 
          There are  06 hrs and 40 minutes.

  So add all the durations now:
     10 minutes,  5 :00 hours  ,  06 hrs and 40 minutes.
     Add hours and minute durations separately.

      we get  11 hours  and  50 minutes.

    If we get the sum of minutes more than 60 minutes, then add one to the hours, and make minutes 0.
