Let the man s income is X

Money spend on food = 2X/5


Remain= X-2X/5= 3X/5


Money Spend on Clothing = 3X/5 ×4/5= 12X/25


Remain = 3X/5 -12X/25 = 3X/25


According to Question


3X/25 =600


X= 5000


So his income is Rs. 5000.

Spend on food =  \dfrac{2x}{5}

Remaining =  x - \dfrac{2x}{5}
=  \dfrac{3x}{5}

Spend on clothing =  \dfrac{3x}{5} × {4}{5}
=  \dfrac{12}{25}

Remaining =  \dfrac {3x}{5} -  \dfrac {12x}{25}
=  \dfrac{3x}{25}

Given, Remaining = 600

Hence,

600 =  \dfrac {3x}{25}

600 × 25 = 3x

15000 = 3x

x = 5000

Hence total income is ₹5000
