Explanation:The earth is made up of three different layers: the crust, the mantle and the core. This is the outside layer of the earth and is made of solid rock, mostly basalt and granite. There are two types of crust; oceanic and continental.

The crust

This is the outside layer of the earth and is made of solid rock, mostly basalt and granite. There are two types of crust; oceanic and continental. Oceanic crust is denser and thinner and mainly composed of basalt. Continental crust is less dense, thicker, and mainly composed of granite.

The mantle

The mantle lies below the crust and is up to 2900 km thick. It consists of hot, dense, iron and magnesium-rich solid rock. The crust and the upper part of the mantle make up the lithosphere, which is broken into plates, both large and small.

core

The core is the centre of the earth and is made up of two parts: the liquid outer core and solid inner core. The outer core is made of nickel, iron and molten rock. Temperatures here can reach up to 50,000 C.

Answer:

There are Three types of layers = Crust, the mantle and the core.

1) Crust = A crust is the outermost layer of the earth. The crust of the earth is composed of a great variety of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rock. The crust is underlain by the mantle.

2) Mantle = Earth's mantle is a layer of a silicate rock between the crust and the outer core. It has a thickness of 2900 km. ( 1800 mi) making y up about 84% of Earth's volume.

3) Outer core = Earth's outer core is a fluid layer about 2400 km ( 1500 mi) think and composed of mostly iron and nickel that lies about Earth's inner core and below it's mantle . It's outer boundary lies 2890 km beneath Earth's surface.

Inner core = The inner core is the very center of the Earth , and the hottest part of planet. It is mainly a solid ball with the radius of about 1220 km.
