India has a multi- party political system.
The current government at the centre is of the National Democratic Alliance(NDA) where BJP is the majority partner with many other smaller parties (pre- poll alliances).
First time in thirty years, a single party (BJP) got the full majority to form the government at the center. And BJP is gaining grounds with every election.
