Explain three reasons why jute is losing it's demand ?

∆ The first reason is the competition from synthetic fibres in terms of price and conveniece of use.

∆ The second reason is competition from other jute producing countries like Bangladesh, Philippines,etc...

• First of all, jute farms are in Bangladesh but our jute mills are in West Bengal. So need to import it.

• Second, it is having rough texture and is losing popularity.

• Last but not the least, it is facing tough competition with synthetic fibres too.
