I disagree with the usage “Thought pollution”.

Pollution is something that comes from outside of the entity being polluted.

Root cause of evils are taking wrong decisions.

When I see you I may think of slapping on your face, holding your hand, welcoming you, or I may think of all of these. But it is my decision is based on an assessment of these thoughts. Even if I thought of slapping you I may decide to say you hello and welcome you!!
