THE THREE TYPES OF FRICTION ARE

°STATIC FRICTION

Static friction is a force that keeps an object at rest. It must be overcome to start moving the object.

°LIMITING FRICTION

When a body just starts to slide over the surface of another one , the frictional force is developed between the surfaces. The maximum value of that frictional force is known as the limiting friction .

°SLIDING FRICTION

The term sliding friction refers to the resistance created by two objects sliding against each other.

°ROLLING FRICTION

force resisting the motion when a body rolls on a surface

Answer:

static friction- is a force that keeps the object at rest. It must be overcome to start moving the object. Once an object is in motion, it experiences kinetic friction.

sliding friction-the term sliding friction refers to the sliding resistance created by two objects sliding against eachother. This can also be called kinetic friction. Sliding frivtion is inteded to stop a moving object.

roling friction- it is the resistive force that slows down a moving object, mosly balls or wheels. The resistance to the motion is a combination of several friction forces at the point of contact between thw wheel and the ground.
