Transpiration is the process by which plants loose water in the form of water vapour through its aerial parts. (i.e leaves)
Functions:-
1) transpiration created a pull known as the transpiration pull, this pull helps in the ascent of SAP in the plant.
2) transpiration had a cooling effect on the environment and helps in the loss of excess water from the plant.
